O: Osteoarthritis (OA)
A skier came in complaining of osteoarthritis of his right knee. The discomfort began as a slight ache but continued to increase in discomfort over time.
Upon examination, it appeared that there was no swelling of the right knee but rather that the discomfort was in the knee joint.
The knee joint is primarily governed by the Stomach and Bladder meridians, which we balanced through the acupuncture.
Within a couple of weeks of acupuncture at twice a week, the patient was able to resume skiing confidently. He continued to come in every couple of weeks, as needed, during and after the ski season, for prevention and maintenance.
